City Council Minutes, Action Minutes, and Meeting Recordings
January 2010 - Minutes are the official and legal record of a Council meeting. City Council is currently using what are called Action Minutes for a three-month trial period. The previous format and the proposed Action Minutes include issues discussed and actions taken. The difference is that Action Minutes do not include a summary of discussions. This results in a concise record of the meeting.
The City also makes audio recordings of regular City Council meetings. These recordings capture the entire meeting and are available on the City's website or from the City Clerk's office.
Below are examples for comparision. Please note you will need Adobe Reader Acrobat to view the minutes and a media player to listen to the recording.
Please follow the instructions
on the Public Records Access page.
Audio recordings will require a media reader to be installed on your computer. Audio recordings are usually very large files. Consider downloading the file to your computer first, and then listen to the recording from there. To do this, right click on the recording you wish to hear and then save to your hard drive
