Garbage Collection
The City's Solid Waste Division services 7,500 residential accounts and 850 commercial accounts. Residents are provided with a 90-gallon container, furnished by the City. Commercial customers can use 90 or 300 gallon containers. All refuse is placed in city-owned containers and collected by automated trucks. Garbage is collected on all legal holidays except Thanksgiving day, Christmas day, and New Years day.

Recycling and Yard Waste Collection
Residential recycling collection is offered to all city single-family dwellings up to four-plexes at no additional charge. Service is provided by the City of Port Angeles and collections are every other week. Commercial recycling is available for apartment buildings and businesses in the city for recycling of paper, plastic, aluminum, and tin. Yard waste collection is available to all city residents for an additional charge of $8.88 per month. This is an every-other-week service.

Water Utility
The Water Utility maintains the city drinking water system from two source options on the Elwha River.

Wastewater Utility
The Wastewater Utility provides for the collection and treatment of wastewater received from residential, commercial, and industrial uses.

Electric Utility
The Light Operations Division of the Public Works Department operates and maintains a system of 8.8 miles of 69kV subtransmission, 127 miles of overhead, 42 miles of underground 12.47kV distribution system, and 7 substations. Light Operations serves approximately 10,750 customers within the 13.5 square mile city limits of Port Angeles.
