On Friday, March 4, 2022 at about 7:20 PM Port Angeles Police Officers (in the photos below) responded to a report that a man who was now out front of a downtown tavern had been inside the tavern and threatened patrons while he was holding a knife. Investigating Officers responded, identified the very agitated suspect, and confirmed that he did have a folding knife.
The follow-up investigation indicated that the man had been inside the tavern threatening patrons and accusing them of being members of ISIS while he was holding the closed folding knife in his hand. The suspect was arrested and booked into the jail for felony harassment. The case is being reviewed by the prosecutor.
