Mason Cloy Archer-Barret, age 27, of Sequim was charged on March 9th, 2022 with Attempted Robbery 1. He remains in Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His first court appearance is anticipated after his release from the hospital.

Michelle Madona Osborn, age 37, of Port Angeles was charged as an Accomplice to Attempted Robbery 1. She remains in custody in the Clallam County Jail.


On Saturday, March 5, 2022, at about 6:53 AM Officer Harold Balderson and Officer Nate Clark responded to an Attempted Robbery in the 2400 block of West Highway 101. Additional details included that a masked male suspect armed with what appeared to be a handgun (and who was in the company of a female accomplice) demanded cash from the occupants of a motorhome that was parked behind the business. However, one of the intended victims was armed with a 22 magnum mini revolver and told the would be robber to drop his gun.

When the suspect began to raise his gun, the intended victim shot the suspect once in the face. The suspects fled in their car.

At about 7:02 AM dispatch received notification of a patient in the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the mouth. The patient was subsequently flown to Harborview in Seattle.

At about 7:10 AM a Clallam County Sheriff's Deputy located the suspect vehicle behind a hotel near First and Vine. Detective Swift Sanchez and Detective Ron Cameron responded to continue the follow up investigation. The female suspect jumped out of a hotel room window and attempted to flee, but was quickly detained. She was booked into the jail as an accomplice to the attempted robbery. The investigation is ongoing and carried out in conjunction  with the prosecutor.
