Port Angeles Police Blotter

Posted on: June 8, 2022

[ARCHIVED] Representative Derek Kilmer

PAPD Police Blotter 2

The Port Angeles Police Department and the Clallam County Sheriff's Office were pleased to host a visit from Representative Derek Kilmer.
We were able to provide a tour and some first hand information on our working Emergency Operation Center (EOC) and the working 9-1-1 Center (PenCom).  Present were County Commissioner Ozias, Commissioner Peach, Commission Johnson, Mayor Dexter, City Manager West, Port Commissioner Maclear, Sheriff Benedict, Undersheriff Cameron, Project Manager Jackson, Chief Smith and the working staff of the EOC, the Port Angeles Police Department and PenCom..
The County EOC is housed in the basement of the Clallam County Courthouse and PenCom is housed inside the Port Angeles Police Department.  Both Clallam County and the City of Port Angeles have been working together on a long term project that will co-locate the EOC and PenCom in a facility that is modern, earthquake survivable and suitably placed.
An important part of this joint City-County effort is outreach to our local, state and federal elected officials.
