On Monday, June 20, 2022 at about 3:00 AM Officers responded to Park Avenue for a report that a man was vandalizing a car. Additional information about the call included that the man was wanted for an earlier incident during which he was accused of pointing a pistol at a victim during an argument. Additional details about the earlier incident included that the man dropped his drugs in a driveway, and when he returned and demanded them he became angry when he was told that the drugs had been flushed down the toilet. That's when he pulled a gun.
During the investigation of that incident Officers reviewed surveillance footage of the man pulling what appeared to be a firearm. When Officers arrived on Park Avenue they took the suspect into custody without incident. The man was booked into the jail for Assault 2 with a Deadly Weapon. The case is being reviewed by the prosecutor.
