On Monday, June 20, 2022 at about 5:00 PM Officers responded to an disturbance at the Haynes Park overlook. The investigation revealed that a couple were seated in their vehicle eating their hamburgers when a man in a wheelchair was yelling at people in the park, digging through a garbage can, and then he threw garbage onto the windshield of the couple's vehicle. When asked about throwing the garbage the man pulled out a machete and threatened the couple, before leaving.
Officers located him not far away, and he still had the machete. They arrested him without incident, and booked him into the jail after he was medically cleared. He remains in the jail on a total of $30,000.00 bail for this case and warrants from unrelated cases.
