[ARCHIVED] 6/30/22 Donkeys Reunited With Owner

PAPD Police Blotter 2

Here at PAPD we consider ourselves an all-service Police Department who strives to serve in any way we can. Here is just one example:
If you were on your way into town this morning you may have seen two donkeys wandering leisurely down the middle of Lauridsen Blvd near the BMX park. Detective Sanchez was also on her way to work and encountered these guys. Fortunately, Detective Sanchez loves animals and has experience handling animals of the Equidae breed.  Detective Sanchez managed to convince the two donkeys to leave the roadway with the assistance of her patrol car lights (no donkeys were harmed in this evolution). As Detective Sanchez was sorting through how to get the donkeys contained safely, a citizen showed up with halters and leads which were affixed to the donkeys. Detective Sanchez and the citizen, who is an employee of Clallam County Youth Services then escorted the donkeys on a nice morning walk in the sunshine to a nearby farm where they were reunited with their grateful owner. A passerby was able to snap this photo which was shared with PAPD.
