The City of Port Angeles is
accepting applications to fill two vacancies on the Parks, Recreation &
Beautification Commission.
Members of the
Commission give advisory recommendations to the City Council on all matters
relating to parks, recreation and beautification. Members cooperate with and
advise the Parks & Recreation Director in the development and
implementation of a comprehensive recreation program, a comprehensive park
development program, beautification programs, and the general appearance of the
City. The Commission also cooperates with the Director in resolving any
problems or complaints arising from departmental programs or facilities.
Commission members
are appointed to four-year terms, with a limit of two consecutive terms.
Members shall be residents of the City and shall serve without compensation.
The Parks, Recreation & Beautification Commission meets the third Thursday
of each month, at 6:00 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers.
