[ARCHIVED] Emergency Sanitary Sewer Main Repair - Lincoln St

Road Work

Update 12/12/2019 5:15pm:

Due to rainfall, crew safety, and road stability concerns on the sanitary sewer main repair, S Lincoln Street will be closed in both directions between 3rd St and 5th St effective immediately. The street is expected to be reopened Friday, December 13th at 11:00pm.

All West-bound traffic will be detoured to the Tumwater Truck Route. All East-bound traffic will be detoured to Lauridsen Blvd, to Race St, and back to Hwy 101.

Please use caution while driving and observe traffic control warnings.

Further updates will be provided through the City Website as information becomes available.

Update 12/12/2019: 

Due to a change in conditions, Lincoln Street will be closed completely to north-bound traffic effective immediately all day on Thursday, December 12th for the emergency sanitary sewer main repair. All north-bound traffic will be detoured to Lauridsen Blvd or 8th Street, to Race St, and back to Hwy 101. South-bound traffic will be open but can expect a delay of 10-15 minutes. Use of alternate routes is recommended.

Duration: December 11-13, 2019 

Between 6:00AM – 11:00PM daily

400 Block – 500 Block of Lincoln Street

The City will be performing an unscheduled emergency Sanitary Sewer Main repair on Lincoln Street between 4th and 5th Street. No utilities are expected to be impacted during this repair.

The center turn lane of Lincoln street will be closed for the duration of work.  Additionally, the east end of the 4th – 5th alley between Lincoln and Laurel St will be closed.  Please use caution driving past the work zones, and observe the traffic control warnings. You can expect noise typical of generators and heavy equipment.
