Information for Hosts
Learn more about the Short-Term Lodging (STL) Business License application and renewal processes. We provide a list of essential information required for your application, guidance to help you prepare for your upcoming Fire Life-Safety Inspection, and other important reference materials.
As of July 1, 2024, owners and operators of active short-term lodging operations must obtain a Short-Term Lodging Business License in order to become compliant with the Port Angeles Municipal Code. Learn how to apply to become a licensed host in the City of Port Angeles.
How to Apply
The City's Online Licensing Portal offers a streamlined and user-friendly application experience, where you can easily apply for or renew your Short-Term Lodging Business License and pay any applicable fees. To begin the application process, your property must be registered in the online portal system.

Short-Term Lodging Webinar
On June 27, 2024, the City of Port Angeles hosted a Short-Term Lodging Webinar. During this session, Community & Economic Development Staff reviewed application requirements, demonstrated use of the online licensing portal, and provided time for live Q&A. The City's online licensing portal allows applications to easily renew their Short-Term Lodging Business License. Renewal licenses are issued in three-year increments.
